Deer Management, Rabbit and Pigeon Control

Rabbit

As you are probably aware rabbits can be a major problem and although most farms suffer with them they are usually only dealt with on a casual basis.

It has been proven that damage caused by a single rabbit on one acre of arable crop works out at 1% of the total yield and millions of pounds worth are lost annually due to rabbit damage.

Their effects on grassland are just as damaging, with ten rabbits eating as much as one sheep. Grasses that are permanently grazed by rabbits can become weak or even die completely. With these figures in mind it makes good sense to keep the rabbit population to a minimum.

This is where we can be of assistance, we will provide a regular service to reduce the number of rabbits on your land. This contract will include frequent visits using such methods as night shooting (using .22 with a silencer or shot guns) ferreting and long netting. We also carry out a gassing service if required at a very competitive rate using phostoxin gas.

Pigeons

As with rabbits, pigeons cause a considerable amount of damage to crops and millions of pounds

Again regular random visits will be made to disturb smaller infestation throughout the year, however if major damage is being caused, we will usually be able to respond at short notice, to protect areas being damaged.

Deer Management

Using selective culling we can reduce the damage caused by fraying and browsing to crops and forestry especially on young plantations. We can also ensure with regular visits that the numbers of deer on  your land are kept at a controlled level.
